Mr. Mandal is a Nutrition Facilitator with HEARD Nepal, working in partnership with Helen Keller International under the Nutrition for Life Project. He has strong experience in community-based health and nutrition interventions at the local level, supporting integrated nutrition, WASH, and social behavior change programs.
He is actively involved in mass screening of SAM/MAM and PLW, targeted follow-up of malnourished children in line with IMAM protocols, and the promotion of IYCF and exclusive breastfeeding practices through Health Mothers’ Groups and trained FCHVs. His role also includes onsite coaching at therapeutic and birthing centers, participation in program performance review meetings, dissemination of digital breastfeeding content, and support to orientation sessions for project interventions—contributing to improved nutrition outcomes among underserved communities.
