Gyanu Gautam

Ms. Gyanu Gautam is a committed public health professional from Nepal with over three years of experience in health service delivery, project coordination, and community development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine, a Bachelor’s in Public Health, and is currently in the final year of her Master’s in Public Administration (MPA), further strengthening her expertise in health systems governance.

She began her journey with HEARD Nepal (Health, Nutrition, Education and Agriculture Research Development Nepal) in April 2022 as a Professional Volunteer. Her dedication and strong performance led to her appointment as Program Officer after six months. Recognized for her leadership and program management skills, she was promoted to National Program Coordinator, a role she currently serves with distinction.

In her current position, Ms. Gautam leads the planning, implementation, and monitoring of HEARD Nepal’s multi-sectoral programs across all seven provinces. She ensures effective coordination and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals while delivering impactful services to target communities.

Previously based in Biratnagar, Koshi Province, she managed key public health and nutrition programs, including maternal and child health (MNCH), sexual and reproductive health (SRHR), non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and education-based child sponsorship. Her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic ensured uninterrupted essential services to vulnerable populations.

Ms. Gautam has significantly contributed to child protection, strategic planning, and the development of evidence-based annual plans. Her ability to collaborate with government agencies and development partners has strengthened HEARD Nepal’s community-based initiatives.

As National Program Coordinator, she supervises multiple projects and teams, represents HEARD Nepal in coordination with government and donor agencies, and supports proposal development, emergency response, and policy advocacy.

Gyanu Gautam’s blend of field expertise, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to inclusive development continues to drive meaningful change for HEARD Nepal and the communities it serves.
