Ms. Kusum Shrestha is a dedicated health professional and counselor with experience in mental health, HIV case management, community health programming, and psychosocial support services. She holds a Bachelor of Health Education and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in EPM (1st Semester Running), strengthening her academic foundation in public health and program management

She has worked extensively with organizations including NGO Federation Makawanpur, Makwanpur Positive Group, and Makwanpur Mahila Utthan Samaj, providing counseling and follow-up services to People Living with HIV (PLHIV), conducting home visits, supporting treatment adherence, and coordinating with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders. Her background also includes work in nutrition programs under USAID-supported initiatives and clinical service delivery as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

As a Board Member, Ms. Shrestha contributes to strategic planning, policy guidance, and governance oversight, particularly in areas related to mental health, community engagement, and inclusive health services. She is committed to promoting equitable, compassionate, and evidence-informed development initiatives aligned with HEARD Nepal’s mission.
