
INTRODUCTION
HEARD Nepal (Health, Nutrition, Education, and Agriculture Research Development Nepal) is a national non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming lives and empowering communities across Nepal. Registered with the District Administration Office, Saptari (Reg. No.: 1761/077/78) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu (Affiliation No.: 52601), HEARD Nepal operates with integrity, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to human dignity.
With provincial offices in Kathmandu (Bagmati Province), Biratnagar, Morang (Koshi Province), and Birendranagar, Surkhet (Karnali Province), HEARD Nepal reaches communities that are often underserved, ensuring that even the most marginalized individuals have access to essential services, opportunities, and hope for a better future.
Guided by a vision of inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development, HEARD Nepal works across diverse sectors, including health and nutrition, inclusive education, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), food security, livelihoods, child rights and protection, environmental and occupational health, gender equality and social inclusion (GEDSI), youth engagement, research and innovation, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, humanitarian relief, and policy advocacy.

OUR OBJECTIVE
Objectives that the organization has determined to focus on within this Strategic Plan are:
Improve maternal and neonatal health services in Nepal, enhance access to healthcare, and expand the number of health facilities, particularly focusing on maternal, neonatal, child health, and family planning (MNCH/FP).
Implement an integrated health system approach under federalism, collaborating with local governments, health officials, and institutions to address barriers and improve healthcare access for women and marginalized communities.
Partner with the private sector to enhance access to health services, strengthen the health system, and improve health outcomes, particularly in underserved areas.
Address poor nutritional status by improving dietary habits, health, hygiene, and access to safe water, sanitation, and quality health services.
Conduct programs focused on women's health, nutrition, education, disaster risk reduction (DRR)/climate change adaptation (CCA), protection, rights, and overall development, including self-defense, legal literacy, and entrepreneurship training.
Collaborate with multi-sectoral stakeholders to strengthen public health supply chains, ensuring the availability of essential medicines for quality health service delivery.
Promote climate-smart agriculture, diversify key crops, strengthen local market systems, and support competitive agricultural value chains and businesses.
Support sustainable and competitive agricultural production to reduce poverty, eradicate hunger and malnutrition, and diversify livelihoods through access to financial services and vocational training.
Reduce violence against women and adolescents, ensure equal opportunities and access to quality education, and combat discriminatory practices, including child marriage, trafficking, and labor.
Facilitate the development and implementation of evidence-based policies and strategies for disaster resilience and climate change adaptation, fostering a proactive risk management culture, building institutional capacity, and promoting sustainable development.
